Tray Cable Buyers in Ohio

We purchase surplus tray cable (TC) from contractors, plants, distributors, and utilities throughout Ohio. Written offers, pickup arranged.

Electrical wire and cable only · Statewide Ohio coverage

Tray cable is the cable of choice for industrial power and control distribution in cable tray. Ohio plants, water treatment facilities, and data centers all run it, and all of them end up with partial reels after a project.

TC is a 600 volt assembly rated 90 degrees Celsius dry and 75 degrees Celsius wet. The TC-ER designation adds the ability to be installed in exposed runs without conduit, which is what makes it so common in plant expansions.

We buy power tray cable in 14 AWG through 750 MCM, control tray cable with numbered conductors, and tray cable with an overall shield. Sunlight-resistant and direct burial rated versions are especially easy to place.

Tray Cable (TC) specifications we work from

The table below lists the constructions and ratings we see most often. If your material does not match exactly, send the jacket print and we will identify it.

How we evaluate and price Tray Cable (TC)

Every reel is placed in one of two buckets before a number is attached to it. Resalable cable is priced per foot on type, size, continuous length, jacket condition, and documentation. Recovery material is priced by weight on a certified scale. You see the split, because a single averaged number hides the only decision that matters.

Continuous length is the biggest variable. A reel with a legible tag and an unbroken run is straightforward. A reel with no tag, a weathered jacket, and an unknown remainder is a different product, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise.

What helps us quote accurately

  • A photograph of the reel tag showing length and manufacturer
  • A close-up of the print on the jacket: type, size, voltage, temperature rating
  • A wide shot showing how many reels are in the stack
  • A photograph of the cut end, so the conductor and shield can be seen
  • Storage history: indoors, outdoors, or in a wet area

Selling Tray Cable (TC) anywhere in Ohio

We buy in every county, from Cuyahoga and Franklin to the smaller counties in the southeast. There is no requirement to bring material to a yard, and we do not claim a local branch we do not have. What we do have is a straightforward process: photographs, a written offer, and a pickup that is scheduled around your operation.

If you are unsure whether your material fits this category, send it anyway. Misidentifying cable is common, and telling you that you have something more valuable than you thought is a good outcome for both of us.

Questions

Tray Cable (TC) buying questions

What does the ER rating add?

TC-ER cable is listed for exposed runs, which means it can leave the tray and run to equipment without conduit. That flexibility makes ER-rated stock easier to resell than standard TC.

Do you buy tray cable with a damaged jacket?

Only as recovery material. The jacket is the moisture barrier, so a breach along the run disqualifies the cable from resale.

Can you buy a single partial reel of tray cable?

Yes, particularly in larger sizes. For small control cable, a single partial reel is usually grouped with other material to make the transaction worthwhile.

How do I identify tray cable without a tag?

The jacket print shows the type, voltage, temperature rating, and often the ER designation. A close-up photograph of the print is the fastest way to confirm it.

The process

How selling your surplus wire works

Four steps, no obligation, and a written offer before anything moves.

Send photographs and details

Reel tags, jacket print, a wide shot of the rack, and your best estimate of footage. A packing list helps if you have one.

Receive a written offer

We separate resalable cable from recovery material so you can see how the number was built.

Approve the terms

No obligation until you accept. If the offer does not work, you keep the material and we part on good terms.

Schedule pickup and payment

We coordinate loading and freight, and payment is made according to the agreed terms before material leaves.

Request a quote

Tell us what you have. Photographs of the reel tags and jacket print let us quote accurately the first time.
