Industrial Cable Reel Buyers in Ohio

We purchase surplus cable reels from contractors, plants, distributors, and utilities throughout Ohio. Written offers, pickup arranged.

Electrical wire and cable only · Statewide Ohio coverage

Large cable reels are a logistics problem before they are a sales problem. They are heavy, they do not stack well, and moving them requires equipment most facilities do not keep on hand.

We buy cable on large wooden and steel reels, from 48 inch drums up to the oversized reels used for medium voltage and submarine cable. The cable is the product; the reel is the packaging, and we handle both when the transaction is large enough to justify it.

Weight, diameter, and access determine how a reel moves. Tell us those three things and we can plan the pickup before anyone commits to a price.

How we evaluate and price Cable Reels

Every reel is placed in one of two buckets before a number is attached to it. Resalable cable is priced per foot on type, size, continuous length, jacket condition, and documentation. Recovery material is priced by weight on a certified scale. You see the split, because a single averaged number hides the only decision that matters.

Continuous length is the biggest variable. A reel with a legible tag and an unbroken run is straightforward. A reel with no tag, a weathered jacket, and an unknown remainder is a different product, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise.

What helps us quote accurately

  • A photograph of the reel tag showing length and manufacturer
  • A close-up of the print on the jacket: type, size, voltage, temperature rating
  • A wide shot showing how many reels are in the stack
  • A photograph of the cut end, so the conductor and shield can be seen
  • Storage history: indoors, outdoors, or in a wet area

Selling Cable Reels anywhere in Ohio

We buy in every county, from Cuyahoga and Franklin to the smaller counties in the southeast. There is no requirement to bring material to a yard, and we do not claim a local branch we do not have. What we do have is a straightforward process: photographs, a written offer, and a pickup that is scheduled around your operation.

If you are unsure whether your material fits this category, send it anyway. Misidentifying cable is common, and telling you that you have something more valuable than you thought is a good outcome for both of us.

Questions

Cable Reels buying questions

Do you buy empty reels?

No. We buy the cable on the reel. Empty reels are sometimes reused by whoever buys the cable, but they are not a product we purchase.

Who handles loading?

That depends on the reel size and the site. For large drums we coordinate equipment in advance; for smaller reels a forklift on site is usually enough.

Can you buy reels stored outdoors?

Yes. We inspect for water intrusion at the ends and UV damage to the jacket, but outdoor storage is common and not disqualifying.

What information do you need first?

Reel diameter, estimated weight, cable type and size, remaining length, and how the reel can be accessed.

The process

How selling your surplus wire works

Four steps, no obligation, and a written offer before anything moves.

Send photographs and details

Reel tags, jacket print, a wide shot of the rack, and your best estimate of footage. A packing list helps if you have one.

Receive a written offer

We separate resalable cable from recovery material so you can see how the number was built.

Approve the terms

No obligation until you accept. If the offer does not work, you keep the material and we part on good terms.

Schedule pickup and payment

We coordinate loading and freight, and payment is made according to the agreed terms before material leaves.

Request a quote

Tell us what you have. Photographs of the reel tags and jacket print let us quote accurately the first time.
