Mixed Wire Lot Buyers in Ohio

We purchase surplus mixed wire lots from contractors, plants, distributors, and utilities throughout Ohio. Written offers, pickup arranged.

Electrical wire and cable only · Statewide Ohio coverage

Most real surplus is not sorted. It is a rack of reels in six sizes, four types, and three conditions, and the person responsible for it does not have a week to catalog it.

We buy mixed lots as they sit. Send a wide photograph of the rack and a rough count, and we will tell you what information we need to make an offer. In most cases that is a few close-ups of tags and a total reel count, not a spreadsheet.

Once we have the lot, we sort it into resalable cable, recoverable metal, and material that should not be sold at all. You see the categorization before the offer is final.

How we evaluate and price Mixed Wire Lots

Every reel is placed in one of two buckets before a number is attached to it. Resalable cable is priced per foot on type, size, continuous length, jacket condition, and documentation. Recovery material is priced by weight on a certified scale. You see the split, because a single averaged number hides the only decision that matters.

Continuous length is the biggest variable. A reel with a legible tag and an unbroken run is straightforward. A reel with no tag, a weathered jacket, and an unknown remainder is a different product, and we will say so rather than pretend otherwise.

What helps us quote accurately

  • A photograph of the reel tag showing length and manufacturer
  • A close-up of the print on the jacket: type, size, voltage, temperature rating
  • A wide shot showing how many reels are in the stack
  • A photograph of the cut end, so the conductor and shield can be seen
  • Storage history: indoors, outdoors, or in a wet area

Selling Mixed Wire Lots anywhere in Ohio

We buy in every county, from Cuyahoga and Franklin to the smaller counties in the southeast. There is no requirement to bring material to a yard, and we do not claim a local branch we do not have. What we do have is a straightforward process: photographs, a written offer, and a pickup that is scheduled around your operation.

If you are unsure whether your material fits this category, send it anyway. Misidentifying cable is common, and telling you that you have something more valuable than you thought is a good outcome for both of us.

Questions

Mixed Wire Lots buying questions

Do I need to inventory everything first?

No. A wide photograph, a reel count, and a handful of tag close-ups are enough to start. We do the sorting.

How do you price a mixed lot?

By categorizing. Resalable reels are valued per foot, recovery material by weight, and the two are added together. Nothing gets averaged into a single mystery number.

What if some of the wire is unusable?

We still take it if the lot makes sense overall, priced at recovery value. We will not quietly include it at resale pricing.

Can you pick up from multiple locations?

Yes, with enough volume. For a single facility, one pickup is typical.

The process

How selling your surplus wire works

Four steps, no obligation, and a written offer before anything moves.

Send photographs and details

Reel tags, jacket print, a wide shot of the rack, and your best estimate of footage. A packing list helps if you have one.

Receive a written offer

We separate resalable cable from recovery material so you can see how the number was built.

Approve the terms

No obligation until you accept. If the offer does not work, you keep the material and we part on good terms.

Schedule pickup and payment

We coordinate loading and freight, and payment is made according to the agreed terms before material leaves.

Request a quote

Tell us what you have. Photographs of the reel tags and jacket print let us quote accurately the first time.

No obligation. We reply with a written offer, usually within one business day.
